Dr. Phoha's expertise is in anomaly detection in network systems; in particular, detection of rare events in network traffic. He has three books, patent and technology transfer accomplishments and over 70 research papers.

Dr. Iyengar's expertise is in sensor fusion. He has authored over 400 papers and 12 books in this field. He is a fellow of the IEEE, ACM, and AAAS and a member of the European Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Peter Chen

Dr. Chen is the originator of the Entity-Relationship (ER) model and is leading research teams on Profiling Problems in Cyber Security and Anti-Terrorism. He is a member of the AF Science Advisory Board’s study team on cyber warfare, has received the ACM/AAAI Allen Newell Award, and is an ACM, IEEE, and AAAI Fellow.

Dr. Gregory Vert

Dr. Vert is developing new methods and ideas to map the extent of botnet infections on the internet by looking at similarities in communication patterns. He has developed and continues to develop standardized models for measuring security via meta-metrics in an abstract fashion across multiple types of computer systems.

Dr. Allen is developing advanced software and middleware to provide a new generation of scientific applications that make dynamic, adaptive, and optimized use of network and Grid environment. She is also leading NSF supported GridChem and UCoMS projects with total funding of approx. $4.1 million.
