Graduate Student Researchers

Andrew Gardner is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Computer Science. He graduated from Louisiana Tech University in Spring 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in C.S. His current research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition and shape analysis. In particular, his research focuses on 3D hand gesture recognition for interactive applications in user interfaces, multimedia such as video games, and robot control.

Md Shafaeat Hossain did his B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Dhaka and M.S. in Computer Science and M.S. in Mathematics from Louisiana Tech University. Currently he is doing Ph.D. student in Computational Analysis and Modeling. His research interest includes machine learning, reject option in pattern classification, multistage/serial fusion based bio-metric verification, cyber-behavioral authentication, computer Vision, information retrieval, and optimization.

David Irakiza is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Analysis and Modeling (CAM) with a concentration in cyber security. His current research involves the design of dual channel based protocols for strengthening user authentication and verification systems.

Ankunda R. Kiremire is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Analysis and Modeling under the Cyberspace, Network Science, and Information assurance track. His current research interests include Network motifs, Network Topologies and their influence on IP traceback.

Rajesh Kumar is a Ph.D. student in Computational Analysis & Modeling (CAM) with a concentration in Cyberspace Security. His research interests are bio-metric authentication systems and wireless sensor networks.

Abena Primo is the holder of B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Guyana, a M.S. degree in Computer Science from Louisiana Tech University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Analysis and Modeling at Louisiana Tech University. Her current research interests are text mining and cyber security.

Saba Ramazani is pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering with concentration in Cyberspace. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2011 and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013 from Louisiana Tech University. She is a NASA and Louisiana Space Consortium (LASPACE) research fellow. Her current research interests include cooperative control, unmanned systems, autonomous control and search in uncertain environments, coverage hole detection in sensor networks, cyber-physical systems, layered sensing, and multi-agent formation control.

Diksha Shukla is pursuing Ph.D. in Computational Analysis and Modeling (CAM) with a concentration in Cyber security. Her current research interests are bio-metric authentication systems and mobile computing.

Jake Scoggin is pursuing a Masters in Electrical Engineering. He graduated with a B.S. in Nanosystems Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 2012. His current research interests include wireless sensor networks, fault detection, and autonomous vehicle control.

Zibo Wang is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Analysis and Modeling under the track of Cyber space, Network Science and Information assurance. His current research interests are threats of behavior biometric verification systems and cyber security.
